Oxford

Oxford House, a publicly supported, nonprofit corporation,
is a network of drug free, democratically run and self-supporting
houses or apartment complexes. It was established in 1975 to
serve as the next step in the process of alcohol and drug recovery,
focusing on sober community living as an effective and low
cost method of preventing relapse. The web site provides an
online state directory of all facilities, over 800 in the U.S.
today.

Located in Chaska, MN Sunshine House is a structured sober living evironment for men, while Liberty house is for women. Residents must attend 12-step meetings and work with a 12-step sponsor.
Love4life
Unlimited (love4life.org)
This non-profit agency operates residential homes for women 18 years or older
who have been treated for alcohol, drug and other substance abuse problems. These
sober living environments provide a safe and structured environment with a family
atmosphere that offers support for employment, twelve step programs, meetings
and other counseling services. Located in Tulsa, Oklahoma the agency currently
operates five homes housing a total of 42 women. More residences are planned.
Fees are $190.00 to move in ($280.00 for out-of-state) and $90.00 a week (non-refundable).
Sober MN (sobermn.com)
Provides12-step based sober living for gay, lesbian, bi, and transgender people recovering from alcoholism and drug addiction at two homes in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
The
Retreat (theretreat.org/residences.asp)
The Retreat operates three long-term residences in St Paul, MN that serve as
transitional, self-governing sober living facilities for men and women. The Retreat
Residences give individuals the opportunity to put into practice the principles
of recovery embodied in the Twelve Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous and to become
fully immersed in the recovery community. Men and women are housed separately
and work closely with sponsors to create a safe and supportive environment, establishing
a solid foundation for recovery. Each resident commits to living at The Retreat
Residence for a minimum of six months. The fee is $450 per month.
Northeast

Located in Salisbury, Maryland, this facility for women over 18 serves those with both an addictive disorder and a mental health diagnosis. The program provides group and individual mental health/addiction treatment up to three times a week and teaches life skills training in the context of the 12-step philosophy.
Fresh
Start Recovery Coalition (fsrconline.org)
Fresh Start Recovery Coalition provides structured sober living, counseling,
medical and career services for recovering substance abusers, individuals with
mental disabilities, homeless individuals, those transitioning from incarceration
back into society and individuals living with HIV/AIDS. It is based on a "family
of choice" concept that promotes family responsibility, personal integrity
and accountability. Fresh Start currently has six homes located in Malden, Everett
and Lynn Massachusetts. Separate homes are available for men and women.

The Fresh Start Recovery Residence is a not for profit organization that serves
the homeless and other persons suffering from substance abuse. Located in Nassau
County, NY the program uses a holistic approach to support, motivate and encourage
clients in need of transitional housing so they can acquire the skills they need
to hold a job, re-enter the community, find and secure housing, and work on their
personal and emotional issues. By providing a sober, safe and clean supportive
and healing environment, the program is committed to enhancing the healing process
of recovery that leads to living a responsible, productive and constructive life,
free of alcohol and/or drugs.

Nelson House is a sober living residence in Saratoga Springs, NY. Based on the 12-step traditions, the house supports women in recovery through an ongoing continuing care plan and communication with their outpatient treatment provider. The program includes opportunities for growth on a mind-body-spirit level.

Located in Atlanta, Georgia, the HERO House is a 12 step based recovery
house specifically for individuals in recovery who want to attend
college or go back to college while living in a safe and sober
environment. Residents must have at least 28 days of sobriety prior to
admission to the program and be currently or recently enrolled in a
college or university.
Turning

The Turning Point Foundation is a non-profit organization
that provides safe, drug-free housing for people with substance
abuse issues. They offer two separate sober living programs:
a three-month Young Adult Program for males ages 18 to 21
and sober facilities for recovering adult male and female
addicts. These houses are staffed with three live-in
staff members present 24 hours a day. All staff members are
recovering addicts and alumni of therapeutic living environments. In
addition to providing a safe and structured environment,
Turning Point offers an array of services to help the recovering
addict repair his/her life.

This Christian-based recovery program offers two small, structured home-like settings on the Outer Banks of North Carolina - one for women and one for men with 6 beds each. The program consists of a Christian-centered adaptation of the Alcoholics Anonymous' 12 Steps, a family therapist, clinical therapist and a church family.

This sober living aftercare facility is located in Anaheim Hills, California and is geared toward early recovery. The program offers comprehensive care to address the problems associated with substance abuse or chemical dependency, as well as other personal challenges such as depression, anxiety or exhaustion. Liberty House is a mens’ sober living home located
in the Century City area of West Los Angeles. It provides
a structured facility with 12-step support for young men
to help them transition back into society and employment.
Liberty House charges $1600 a month with a sliding scale
to about $1300 a month depending on ability to pay. This
fee includes food and regular meetings with peers, family
and 12-step.

living option for young adults focuses on education, 12-steps,
therapy and physical fitness. It is approved by the Los
Angeles Sober Living Coalition. The program builds core
competencies in life skills, employment, academics, emotional

Coalition member homes are inspected to assure they are healthy, safe, well managed, ethical and are good neighbors.
